Fenix Metals: First ITA Member to Conform with All Relevant Tin Code Standards

The International Tin Association (ITA) announces the publication of Fenix Metals’ fifth Tin Code Report, covering June 2023 – October 2025.

Most significantly, the report confirms that Fenix Metals is the first ITA member to achieve Conforming status across all relevant Tin Code standards, including all relevant Priority Standards, under the current (post-May 2022) standard. These ratings have been independently assessed and verified by the independent external assessor.

Conforming and Third-Party Verified status is progressed or maintained across all relevant Priority Standards covering legal compliance; banned substances; protected areas; safe working practices; forced labour; child labour – worst forms; use of private or state security personnel; and responsible sourcing.

Conformance is required for the 10 Priority Standards, which address the most material ESG risks. The remaining standards are structured to support continuous improvement over time.

“I am very proud of this achievement. It reflects the hard work and commitment of the whole Fenix Metals team throughout the year. We already refer to the Tin Code in our communication with business partners and auditors, and we are especially pleased that we can now share that Fenix Metals has achieved full conformance with the current relevant Tin Code standards. This is an important confirmation of our continued focus on ESG, responsible sourcing and transparency.” Jolanta Sapielak, Quality Assurance Manager at Fenix Metals

With this publication, Fenix Metals becomes the first ITA member to publish five Tin Code Reports, demonstrating sustained and structured engagement with the Tin Code as a progressive ESG standard. The company continues to show consistent year-on-year improvement across the 72 Tin Code standards, where applicable to its operations, reinforcing its long-term commitment to sustainable production and transparency.

This result establishes a benchmark for other tin producers progressing within the Tin Code, highlighting the role of structured systems, openness, and continuous improvement in achieving sustained ESG advancement.
