ITA Publishes Thaisarco Fourth Tin Code Report 

The International Tin Association (ITA) is pleased to announce the publication of Thailand Smelting and Refining Co Ltd (Thaisarco)’s fourth Tin Code Report, covering 1 June 2024 – 31 May 2025. 

Thaisarco, a long-established tin smelter based in Phuket, continues to play an active role in the Tin Code, contributing to a growing network of producers advancing sustainable, responsible and transparent tin production. 

This latest report highlights strong ongoing engagement and continued ESG progress across key operational areas, supported by established systems and third-party verification. 

Key updates

  • Strong Priority Standards performance:
    71% conformance in relevant Priority Standards, reflecting continued ESG progress and structured improvement.
  • Health & Safety excellence:
    Third-party verified occupational health and safety management through ISO 45001 certification, reinforcing robust systems for safe working practices, training, and incident management.
  • Stronger governance:
    Continued advancement of management systems and business integrity frameworks.
  • Greater transparency:
    Ongoing improvements in reporting quality, disclosure, and documentation practices.
  • Supply chain engagement:
    Continued implementation of Principle 8, with strengthened engagement across ASM and LSM suppliers on environmental, health, safety, and community practices.
